Why I’m Pro Plastic Surgery

Anyone close to me knows that I’m a big proponent of plastic surgery. It can help women feel more beautiful in their own skin and it does wonders for self-esteem.

I don’t believe in taking things overboard and becoming a plastic surgery addict. However, done with realistic expectations and in an attempt to remain looking natural and feeling comfortable, I’m all for it. Small changes can have an impact in a woman’s features and self-esteem.

Years ago, I was actually the assistant to a plastic surgeon. I saw 50 year old mothers leave surgical rooms with a stunning body that snapped them right back to their 20s. Literally – within a few hours, the changes were so dramatic that no exercise or nutrition could achieve those results.

The above shows just how dramatic the change can be… this is the famous mummy tuck. Beyond feeling better about her physical looks, this mom will be more comfortable without the excess skin and will fit more comfortably into clothes. I’m sure it helps with intimacy as well – it’s easy to feel self-conscious about our imperfections.

We women are constantly bombarded by photographs of impossibly perfect women… Don’t be fooled by all these beautiful celebrities – most, if not all, have done extensive surgical work on their bodies and faces. A lot of these celebrities were attractive to begin with, but it’s surgery that took them from pretty to stunning.

Ivanka is a great example of a celebrity who owes her beauty to a surgeon – a pretty girl blossomed to a stunning woman with some help of rhinoplasty and a chin implant.

Many women are scared to take the plunge into plastic surgery, and I understand the hesitance. It is surgery after all. In my experience – it’s worth the few days of pain and discomfort. The physical changes impact your life for the positive.

However, and this is vital, you must use a reputable, licensed plastic surgeon with good reviews. You should ask to see real before-and-after photographic examples of previous patients. Like artists, surgeons tend to have a ‘style’ so you will see that they follow patterns in regards to how they shape the nose, results of lifts, and breast surgeries. Only move forward if you like what you see.

If you’re wondering, the most popular plastic surgeries are the following:

  • Breast augmentation
  • Breast lift
  • Facelift
  • Eyelid surgery
  • Tummy tuck
  • Liposuction
  • Rhinoplasty (aka nose job)

There are many reasons why breast augmentation has become such a popular surgery. It goes beyond increasing in breast size – for example, having uneven breasts can be a deciding factor in wanting to get this surgery.

If you’re interested in undergoing this surgery, always choose a reputable beauty clinic that understands that doing a great breast job is more complex than making breasts larger. A surgeon should take into account factors like a patient’s’ anatomy, personal preferences and lifestyle. Breast augmentations should provide proportional results that add to a woman’s beauty – not overpowers it.

The absolutely stunning Kelly Rowland underwent a natural-looking breast augmentation. She looks amazing and the size fits her frame perfectly.

You know more people than you think who have undergone plastic surgery. Most of them look too natural to tell. 🙂

At this moment this is not for me. But my opinion is whatever makes you happy do it. You don’t want to live your life with doubt or regret.

I haven’t considered plastic surgery but who knows, maybe I’ll need it in the future. I think it’s okay as long as the results are natural and you won’t look like a plastic doll afterwards.
